Cracked Glass embossing idea

Happy Friday stampers – my last heat embossing idea is the Cracked Glass embossing idea which is an old one from way back.

I went searching when I began this series for ideas for heat embossing and ran across this one that is one of the ones I have done many years ago. It is a fun idea and gives you a great look. Basically you stamp your image onto your paper, punch it out and then start adding several layers of thick embossing powder. Once you have a thick layer, you place your image in the freezer making sure it lays flat for about 5 minutes. You then take it out and start breaking the embossing layer like it was glass. I gives a really cool effect. You can see the complete process on the video I have linked below. Here is the card I made using that technique.

About my card

White – 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ scored at 4 1/4″
scraps for die cutting
Petal Pink – 4″ x 5 1/4″
Thoughtful Journey dsp – 1 1/4″ x 4″

During this embossing series I used several fun ideas using your embossing powder. This idea uses Versamark and your ink cube to create your own colored embossed image. This is another older technique where you create your own seal.
