Frozen Edges fancy fold idea

Hello everyone – wait until you see today’ Frozen Edges fancy fold idea!

Vicky and I are playing with our last fancy fold this month. Next month we will be doing something different. You can find Vicky’s fancy fold here.

I had this crazy idea to play with the Frozen Edges dies and make a variation on a z-fold card. This was a challenge as I discovered the snowflake die did not cut out the snowflakes all the way. After several trials and errors I was able to get it figured out and my card completed.

The video shows you how to put the card together and offers some tips and tricks for cutting out the icicle and snowflake strip. Make sure you watch the video too see the tips and tricks and then head over to Vicky’s channel to watch her video. Here is the completed card I made.

About my card

Lost Lagoon – 4 1/4″ x 11″ scored at 2 3/4″ and 5 1/2″
1/2″ x 11″ strip for back of snowflake die cut scored at 5 1/2″ and 8 1/4″
Shimmer paper – 2 strips at least 11″ long score both at 5 1/2″ and 8 1/4″
scraps for stamping and die cutting and punching
Winter Meadow dsp – Lost Lagoon tree pattern – 2 1/2″ x 4″ two pieces
Lost Lagoon watercolor pattern – 4″ x 5 1/2″

I love the Winter Meadow dsp and have used it a lot. I used to to make a collections of cards and a box to hold them. I also used it to make this folio idea.
