Sunday Ideas – kissing technique

Happy Sunday stampers – I am visiting some long lost techniques this month and the Sunday Ideas – kissing technique is the first one.
I have been a stamper for over 25 years and I have seen a lot of techniques during that time. I thought it would be fun to revisit some of the older techniques to spark your memory.
Today’s Project
I learned so much from today’s technique. The first thing that is critical is the main stamp has to be red rubber. I tried and tried with a solid photopolymer stamp and it would not work. Once I switched the main image to red rubber it worked. You can use a photopolymer stamp to “kiss” the other stamp and that is what I did. The 3 chickens stamped across the bottom seemed to be floating in air so I added some sponged green to mimic grass.

I had some pattern paper from a coordinating pack and used the black and white check to add a strip at the top. A generic sentiment means I can use this card for any occasion. It was finished off with gold gems.

I have used this stamp set before in these 2 cards. The pattern paper is great for other animals also like the Highland Cow I used on this card.
