Hopping Into Spring with Laura’s Loft

Hello Ladies!

Well I got nothing done yesterday!  I had an appointment and then had to run some errands.  When I got home Jess wanted to go out later and run more errands so I helped with Remi some and then we went and ran errands again.  Then Jess had to fix dinner and go get Zoie.  By the time she got back and we ate dinner it was too late to go into my craft room.  I definitely need more hours in my days!

Today I am hopping with Laura over at Laura’s Loft for the March Hopping Into Spring Shop & Hop.  We have some talented ladies gathered

today and I am sure you will love what they have created.

March is National Craft Month and Laura is having a store
wide 15% off sale.  She will also be celebrating by having an

Laura is also having a Giveaway.  The details are  at the bottom!

Spring is a beautiful time of year.  I love the soft colors you see popping up.  I decided to make some of these flowers for my first card.  I began with the Avery Elle set Peonies and matching dies.  I used my Tim Holz Distress Mini Kits and the following colors Ink Mustard Seed, Picked Raspberries from Kit 1 and Mowed Lawn from Kit 2 and Peeled Paint from Kit 5.   I used some watercolor paper and the inks and painted the colors onto the wet paper.  When it was dry I stamped my flowers and leaves then used the dies to cut them out.  I attached them to my card front and stamped the sentiment.  To finish off the card I added some sequins.  Here is my first card.

For my second card I began by using the Tim Holz Distress Mini Ink Kit #2 and the color Mowed Lawn to create my background.  I used a make up sponge to and my color onto the front mat.  I then stamped my images from Avery Elle’s set Peonies onto some colored card stock and used the dies to cut it out.  I mounted it onto a mat and added another colored card stock mat behind it.  I added some sequins and added it to my card front using dimensionals.  Here is my second creation.

  8. Hi Robbie, long time no see! I am enjoying Laura's Loft Hopping into Spring blog hop. I like the technique of your first card of putting down colour onto watercolour cardstock and then stamping over the top. The peonies are gorgeous grouped as they are. Cheers!
