Coloring Down the Lines Birthday

Good Morning Everyone!

Well my visit is half over.  The time goes so fast when you are enjoying the company you are with.  We still have some fun things planned but before you know it I will be driving back home.

Today is the Coloring Down the Lines blog hop.  We have a monochromatic color challenge today.

 Stampin’ Up color matches
I chose these colors but when I went to make my card I wasn’t certain what I was going to do.  I started looking at my sets and was going to use seashore one but the current sets would not work.  Then I remembered the shore birds in Wetlands and pulled it to use.  I basically decided to use just Crumb Cake and Chocolate Chip as they blended together.
I found a sketch at Freshly Made Sketches I knew I could use.
I cut a piece of Chocolate Chip and embossed it.  I attached it to card base.  Next I cut some Whisper White and stamped my birds.  I then layered the image with some other card stock to get it to pop.  I attached the panel to the card base with dimensionals.  Next I needed to address the star element.  I decided to use the Birthday sentiment in the set.  I stamped it and punched it out with the large oval punch.  I then backed it with the Label Bracket punch.  Here is what my final creation looks like.

Now it is time to hop on down the line.  Your next stop will be Helen’s blog – Blue Dahlia Designs.  I am sure you will enjoy her creation.

Thanks for visiting me today.  I brought some knitting with me and I am hoping so spend some time working on that.  Have a Wonderful Wednesday!

  1. Robbie, I love your card. I am inspired to use that punch combo – I never realized how well they go together!
