Make My Monday

Hello Everyone ~ I am ready to show your a new technique I used on my Make My Monday card!

I got a lot of the Birthday Invitations completed yesterday at my craft day! I am hoping to finish them up today so I can deliver them tomorrow.  Wish me luck!   I also need to get my One Color Wonder card recorded so it is ready for Wednesday this week!  I will be a busy girl today.  Good thing I don’t have anything else going on.

At Make My Monday our challenge is

At The Beach

I recently saw a technique I remembered I wanted to try.  I thought this would be the perfect challenge for that technique.  The technique is plastic wrap watercolor.  You start with a piece of plastic wrap larger than your watercolor paper.  You spritz it with a lot of water.  Then you drop reinkers on your plastic wrap ~ I used Pool Party, Marina Mist, and Dapper Denim.  Next you take your watercolor paper and lay it onto the plastic wrap.  Quickly flip the plastic wrap over and scrunch it up to form interesting patterns.  Let it dry overnight.  The next morning remove the plastic wrap.  If it is not totally dry let it finish drying.  The plastic wrap forms interesting patterns that dry to give you a fun background.  I stamped and cut the coral and seashells and added them to my background.  To finish it off I added some gold natural trim ribbon.   This layer was attached to a Dapper Denim card base.  Here is the completed creation.
