Happy Wednesday Stampers!
The weather is crazy here. It is so nice and actually warm. Later this week it is supposed to be mid 70’s. I have a feeling we will pay for this gorgeous weather later in the year. I hope you are having great weather where you are.
Today is our Coloring Down the Lines blog hop. This week our colors were chosen by me. I felt we needed some colors other than holiday or Fall.
Stampin’ Up color matches
I pulled out the Birthday Blossoms set as I thought I would use the cluster of flowers. I stamped them in Night of Navy and then using ink in the lid and a blender pen I colored in the flowers. Once I had my flowers colored I used my Dazzling Details to add a bit of sparkle to the center of the flowers. I let this dry overnight as it takes these a while to dry. Once my centers were dry, I used the Curvy Corner Trio punch to add some interest to 2 of the corners. I then took a piece of vellum and colored on one side with my markers. I stamped the other side with the flowered butterfly from Papillon Potpourri. I punched it out using the small butterfly punch when it was dry. I masked the “Thanks” in the stamp set from For All Things and inked it with Night of Navy. I stamped it and using the banner punch I flagged both ends of the word. After I mounted it on Night of Navy I used dimensionals and added it to my card. My original plan was to use Smoky Slate but when I had my front layer done I had not used it. Here is my creation.
