A fun remake with stencils

A fun remake with stencils

Hello everyone – Check out today’s A fun remake with stencils idea.

Last year I created a card with a die that I cut up. I loved the fun angles I created for the card front. Here is what the card looked like.

There was not a die I could use to achieve the same effect so I did a little thinking outside the box. I went looking at my supplies and wondered if I could use my stencils to get something similar. The Artistic Mix set had a fun plaid pattern. I began by cutting 2 papers with an angle using the Basic Borders dies. I then used the stencil and some selective ink blending to create a fun background. All I had to do then was to put the card together like the original. Here is what the finished card looks like.

This stencil makes a great background pattern. Here is an idea that uses it to create a panel down the side of the card front. This card uses the stencil for an ombre effect on the background.

Check out the supplies used for today’s card.
