A gift for Zoie’s teacher

Good Morning Everyone!

Yesterday was a gorgeous day.  The sun was shining, the sky was a beautiful blue, and there was a nice gentle breeze.  I have decided I need to start back with my walking so the past 2 days I started with a short walk.  It was great to be out in the sun.

Today I am sharing another project I made using the Curvy Keepsake Box thinlit die.  I thought it would be nice to make an apple for Zoie’s teacher and the helper.  I cut my paper – red and green – and sponged the edges.  I put the box together and then needed to add a stem and some leaves.  I cut some leaves with my Autumn Accents Bigz die and sponged the edges.  I then took some burlap ribbon and cut it in half.  Using my hot glue gun I rolled it up and glued the edge down.  I then used some hot glue to down the leaves and added another dab on top and pushed the burlap ribbon into it.  Here is what the apples looked like.

Zoie’s teacher really liked this.  I have 5 Hershey Nuggets inside for her.  The way I added the stem and leaves she can open it up and get the candy without destroying the apple.

Thanks for visiting me today.  Today I am headed to the knitting store to spend some time with my friend knitting.  Have a Great Day!
