Across the Waves – Autumn leaf thumping

Hello everyone – I have another idea for ink thumping with the Across the Waves – Autumn leaf thumping card.
This month Vicky and I are using the thumping technique. This is a technique from many years ago. Usually you use a marker and thump (tap) onto an inked image. We are adding a twist to our cards by using ink cubes rather than a marker. You can see her project here.
Today’s Project
I #ShopYourCraftStash to find a great leaf stamp set. I began by inking them images with yellow then adding red and brown to the image using ink cubes. It adds random color to the yellow leaf making it look like the Fall leaves we will be seeing soon.

To create a base for my leaves, I used a square stencil and ink blended a background. Then using some square dies, I cut out 3 frames and glued them together to make a thick frame. The leaves were added in the lower right hand corner. A bow was used to cover up the stems. To finish it off some gold gems were sprinkled on.

To show how I made the leaves, I recorded this video of the steps.
