Across the Waves – flutter of joy
Hello everyone – I had some paper left over from my card class this month so used some scraps to make this pretty Across the Waves – flutter of joy card.
This month Vicky and I have played with dots and stripes for our projects. I had lots of pattern paper to choose from and loved shopping my stash for my ideas. You can see what Vicky designed here.
I love it when I can use my scraps to make cards and this idea uses scraps I had left after making kits for my card class. This paper from Carte Bella is so pretty and is easy to design with.
Today’s Project
Pink and green are another favorite color combination I like to design with. These scraps were perfect for this idea as it used those colors. This collection also had 2 patterns with dots so I has scraps of each to use on the card.
I have been trying some new ways to use my gems and I love how on this card I followed the arc of the circle. I think it adds interest. I had a strip of paper with the butterflies on it and the was a pink one that was whole so I used it for an extra element. Think about that idea when you have strips of pattern paper left.

I had a stamp set called bokeh dots the made pretty cards. Here is one idea I made using it. Look at this fun Halloween idea that uses both dots and stripes.

pink – 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ scored at 4 1/4″ -card base
scrap for punching
green – 2″ x 4″
dark pink – 1 1/8″ x 1 1/8″
white – 4″ x 5 1/4″
