Hello everyone – I was inspired by a creator I follow to try the Across the Waves – make your own pattern paper using rub ons idea.

Vicky and I are focusing on pattern paper this month. We thought it would be fun to show you some ways to use your stash. You can find her project here.

Have you ever thought of using rub ons to make your own pattern paper? I decided to give it a try. I needed to do my pink card in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month so I pulled out the 49 & Market Color Swatch Blossom Rub-On Transfers. This is a great way to use your rub ons. I used several images from the collection to make the background on this card.

Today’s Project

I began by using a large leaf rub on on the left side of the card panel. I then filled it in with some other splotches. The butterfly in the top corner was the finishing touch.

I used another flower rub on for the main focal image. To add some interest I used half a doily behind it. For more texture I add some die cut leaves. In the photos you see the outline of the rub on when I cut it out. You cannot see it on the card. Make sure you watch the video below to learn a tip for adding your rub ons in a quick easy way.
