Across the Waves – vellum technique

Hello everyone – This month we have chosen a new product and I created this card for the Across the Waves – vellum technique.
Vellum is fun to play with and Vicky and I are sharing some ideas with you. You can see her project for today here.
Today’s Project
There are many techniques you can use with vellum. I wanted to play with the technique to create the look of parchment paper.

If you attach your vellum with glue and a sponge keep the application light or you will get the marks like I have on mine.

I created this card a while ago and it uses the same technique as the card in today’s video. This idea creates a pocket using vellum for a fun card idea.
About the card
White – 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ scored at 4 1/4″ (card base)
teal – 3 1/2″ x 4 1/2″
vellum – 3″ x 4″

Oceanside cardstock – Spellbinders
white cardstock
vellum
white craft ink
white embossing powder
sparkly gems – Uniquely Creative

I hope you enjoyed the technique used on the Across the Waves – vellum technique! I have to work on how to attach the vellum more. I may need to do some research.
