Happy Monday Everyone ~ I made a Children’s card for you today with my Animal Outing Kid’s Card Idea.
Well I managed to get my candles in my windows yesterday. I discovered I am short 4 electric candles and I need 11 battery operated with a timer for the other windows. I have not decided if I am going to put one of my trees on the screened in porch or get a new cheap one. I have to think about it as if I put it on my screened in porch it can be seen from the main road. If I put it in front of the windows on the back of the house, I close the blinds at dusk so no one will see it but me. Decisions, decisions! I did not get as much done as I had hoped as I had to go shopping to pick up some things that were one sale. I also managed to get Jess’ presents so she and the girls are finished. I have things for the new baby so I only need Michaela and Josh. They are supposed to send me their lists so I can get their stuff ordered. Then everyone will be done unless I think of someone else I forgot.
I realized when I did the masculine card it had been a while since I created a child’s card. I decided I would do one for today. I chose the rhinoceros from Animal Outing as my image. I stamped it in Basic Gray ink and then used glycerin and Smoky Slate ink to color him in. I used my Very Vanilla craft pad to color his horn. The grass was colored using a Pear Pizzazz marker and the bird was colored using Real Red and Pumpkin Pie markers. The next to the largest circle from the layering circles was used to cut him out. The scallop circle layer and Basic Black card stock was used to create the layer behind the image layer. To put the card together, I took a Real Red card base and added a 4″ x 5 1/4″ Whisper White panel. The Real Red 6 x 6 designer series paper was used to cut a 3 3/4″ x 5″ paper which was then layered onto the Whisper White. The image circle was added with dimensionals. A strip of 3/8″ x 4″ of Real Red card stock was cut and added at an angle across the bottom of the image layer. The sentiment from Itty Bitty Greetings was stamped onto a 1/4″ x 2 1/4″ of Whisper White and then added on top of Real Red strip so it overlaps the image circle layer just slightly. A strip of Basic Black that measured 1/4″ x 1 1/2″ was added underneath the Whisper White strip using dimensionals. Here is my completed Animal Outing Kid’s Card Idea.

Here are some more kid’s cards ideas. I created a watercolor background for this cute Watercolor Background Idea. Who doesn’t smile when they see this chipmunk on the Postcard Pals for the Girls card. And this dancing pig makes a great Stampin’ Up This Little Piggy creation.
