Second Post, scroll down for the first!
I used my learning curve from yesterday’s background piece to make my card today (I actually had this idea occur to me about the same time as the one for yesterday’s card). I used a different spectrum pad (Creole Spice) on this background. I love the Happy Blessings set (especially the scarecrow) and was so upset it didn’t make the new catalog. I do not have any current fall sets as I did not fall in love with a set that I had to have. I really like my retired sets so I still use them.
With the new demo agreement, I went searching for some sites that focus on Stampin’ Up products. I found some great ones and in the process also found some new challenges. Today’s card uses one of the challenges on one of the new blogs. I chose the color challenge at the Pals Paper Arts blog. This is a new Stampin’ Up focus blogs and they have some great challenges. I combined it with Tracy’s sketch at her Eat Sleep Stamp blog. I did flip the sketch as my image fit better that way. I really like the color combo of Old Olive, Perfect Plum, and Pumpkin Pie. I added in Kraft for my background. I used an aqua painter to color the scarecrow. Here is the sketch and my creation.

Great card!!
On behalf of the design team, thank you for playing @ PPA.
Join us for our next challenge on Thursday, October 15, 2009.
I love your cute card! Your scarecrow looks wonderful against the textured background! I also love all the punching with the square corner punch! Great job with the challenge!
Love this Robbie! Great idea about flipping the sketch. The raffia is too perfect for this card. Fantastic job!!!
Robbie, seems like you and me had the exact same idea, to flip this card on its side! Really like the way you embossed and ink your background paper and added the twine as embellishment. Great fall card! 🙂
