Another card fold for you

It’s Friday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well I got my cards for the retirement village ladies done, shopped for my home decor challenge next week at Late Night Stampers, and made the card I am sharing with you today. I was a very busy lady!

I am going to work on the tutorial for the check box. I have to take the pictures and make sure my measurements are correct and then I will post it later today so check back to see it.

My card today is for the color challenge at Diva Coffee Break Designs.

In looking through my challenge blogs I came across a challenge blog hop at Just Add Ink. Their designers were all choosing a different technique and creating a project using the technique. Your challenge was to choose 1 of the techniques and create a project then post it. I saw lots of great techniques. I chose to use the watercolor technique listed on Sarah Klass’s blog. I stamped my flower using versamark and black on shimmery white cardstock. I then used my aqua painter and the lid of the Rose Red pad to color the flower. When it was dry I cut it out and used a gold gel pen to color the center of the flower. I created a card fold that has the triangle point of the left side inserted into a slit on the triangle point of the right side. I have a sentiment hidden under the 2 flaps.

I cut a strip from my card front 1″ from the top and the bottom. I used this flap to create a layer the same size. I did this to attach my triangle flaps to and to be hidden from the inside of the card. This layer was attached to the card front layer. I then used a piece of white for inside the card. Since I had cut the 1″ from the top and bottom of the card front, I then used a strip of Rose Red and the scallop trim border punch to make the top and bottom element. Here is my creation.
