Another Pinterest CASE

Happy Beautiful Saturday!

I hope you are experiencing the gorgeous weather we have this weekend!  I think this is our last hurrah before winter sets in.  This is the weekend we need to get outside and soak up the sunshine to carry us through the winter.

Over at Late Night Stampers we have a challenge to CASE something you have pinned on Pinterest.  Last year I pinned a cute door wreath made with burlap.

Linda created this cute wreath and also had a tutorial for it.  I decided I wanted to use her ideas and some of my Stampin’ Up supplies to make mine.  I modified her tutorial to make it work for me.  I will tell you that she says you need 1/3 yard burlap but I had bought 1 yard and used almost all of it.  I pulled out my Autumn Accents and Fun Flowers bigz die and my burlap and went to town.  I die cut my flowers and leaves then dipped them in liquid starch and water.  I realized as the shapes were drying they were not holding the crisp cut shape.  If I do this again I will soak my burlap first and after it has dried I will cut out the shapes.  Here is my creation.

So what do you think of my CASE?  The hardest thing about this project was getting the different colors of burlap.  My JoAnn’s did not have the yellow or the dark green so I ordered that online – I also pinned a cute winter idea that I will be making later to hand on my door.  Thanks for looking and have a Super Saturday!

  1. Terrific, Robbie. Love the colors and the style. I never go to a fabric store because I can't sew a straight line, so I don't try. But this burlap and a Big Shot — I think I could handle it. Thanks for the inspiration. Hugs.

  2. Robbie, this is so pretty, love it with the burlap! Stunning!
