See Another ribbon technique idea with this twisted ribbon idea
Hello Everyone – here is Another ribbon technique idea for you that is easy and perfect for wide ribbon.
Sometimes wide ribbon is hard to figure out how to use on your cards. It presents its own challenge in getting it to look right or to lay right.
I have some of the retired wide Silver metallic ribbon that was so fun to use on Winter cards. It was lacy and sparkly just like a snowflake.
I thought it would be fun to use a strip of the Winter Meadow blue trees in snow pattern paper and try a fun idea with the ribbon. I began by adding the dsp to the center of the panel for the card front. Then I attached 1 end of the ribbon to the back with Tear & Tape. Then begin twisting the ribbon and continue until you have a length long enough to stretch across the front of your card panel. Attach it in the back with some more Tear & Tape. Repeat for the other side of the dsp. Add the panel to the card front and die cut an image to decorate the front. Look at this idea that uses the twisted ribbon technique.
Every once in a while I come across a fun ribbon technique that I like to play with. On this card I used 3 ribbons for a fun idea where one of them was the silver and metallic ribbon used on today’s card. Another way to use your ribbon is to cut it in half and fray it like I did on this card.
Check out your ribbon stash and see what you can do with your ribbon for fun ideas for your cards.
