Hello Ladies!
I can’t believe how cold it is. They are saying we could get some snow. It has to be to the north and west of the city as the Bay is still too warm for snow. We will see.
My card today used the color challenge from The Color Dare
I thought it would be fun to use these colors and make a background for snowflakes. I pulled out my glossy paper to do some blending of colors. I stamped my snowflake and embossed with clear. Next I used the Perfect Plum and Concord Crush and a sponge to apply my color. It wasn’t blending like I wanted so I remembered reading to spray the sponge with water. I tried that and it was okay but I wanted to try to blend it even more so I sprayed the glossy paper instead. I really like how it was blending. I finished the background and wiped the color off the snowflakes and set it aside to dry.
I then started working on my main image. I decided to ink the stamp with Plum and then using the Concord pad I tapped the edge of the stamp to apply some color. I stamped this but the finished image did not seem to have the same shine as the background so I decided to try it again but use Versamark and emboss it. I like the look of this image better so I decided to use that one. Here is a comparison.
As you can see the bottom is a little bit more intense in color. Now all I need to do is layer my card and put it together. When I had my layers sitting on my card it was missing something so I added some ribbon. Once I had my card put together it was still missing something so I added some glittery crochet thread and a snowflake. Here is my final creation.

So what do you think of my purple snowflakes? Like how this card turned out. Thanks for looking and have a Terrific Tuesday!
