Anything Goes Saturday - Wish you were here

Happy Saturday Stampers – another fun technique using embossing folders from Simon Says Stamp created the Anything Goes Saturday – Wish you were here creation.

I decided to try a technique to see if it would work. It did but I think it would have been better if I had used darker colors.

Today’s Project

Last week I tried inking up the flat side of an embossing folder. This week I wondered what would happen if you inked up the other side. I wanted to use colors that match the image so I decided to use my markers. I chose 2 colors – one for the flowers and one for the leaves and inked up the folder. Before I ran it through the die cutting machine I huffed on the ink to remoisten them. The colors I used were very soft so it created a soft debossed image.

I chose to stamp an image in the center area and finish it off with some silver gems. I think this may be better if you use darker or brighter colors.

This is what the card would look like if you did the inking after you embossed the panel. If you have a narrow embossing folder, here is an idea you can use with it.
