Arched florals

Hello everyone – inspired by my friend Vicky Wright, I created the Arched Florals which is my version of her card.
I got a package of Crafter’s Companion glitter paper free and knew I wanted to play with it. I love glitter and this paper is ombre and beautiful.
Today’s Project
I found the prettiest glitter paper in the collection and wanted to use it with my nested arches dies. Most glitter papers do not cut well as there is a plastic coating that affects how it cuts. I ran it through a few times then flipped the die and paper over so the cutting edge of the die is facing up rather than down on the cutting mat. That worked and the paper popped out easily. I went with some bright navy paper to highlight the blue glitter paper.

I wanted to add some layers as Vicky’s card really popped with her layers. I used an embossing folder that had an inconsistent brick wall. This gives your card some texture. I searched my stash and found a small simple flower that looks fabulous die cut in white.

I love those small flowers. Check out how I used the die to make sunflowers on this card. The brick folder is a great background for flowers. Here is another card made using it.
