I bet you are wondering what a bath poof has to do with stamping. Well you would not believe the idea I had. About a month ago I got an extra bath poof (not sure that is the name but it is the net thingy you can get to wash your body) and it hit me out of the blue that it might make a great background. Well today is the day I got to play and find out how much I really like it.
I started with my cardstock for the card and wanted to add some subtle background color to tone down the stark Very Vanilla. I decided to try the poof since it was sitting right there on my table. So I inked it up first with So Saffron. I really like the very subtle effect but wanted a little more for my card. So I added some More Mustard (I did not clean the poof between each color change) and the effect reminded me of a Tuscany villa wall. I really liked this but wondered what it would look like with some Always Artichoke mixed in so I added some of that color I did this one very light as it was considerably darker compared to the other colors). I then thought it needed some Perfect Plum since I had used most of the other colors that were on my card. Low and behold look at the beeeuuuutiful background I got!
Stamps: Single Sunflower (DOTS), twig (CC Rubber Stamps), Small Script (retired) Paper: Always Artichoke, Close to Cocoa, More Mustard, Perfect Plum, Very Vanilla Ink: Always Artichoke, More Mustard, Perfect Plum, So Saffron, Staz-on Timber Brown Accessories: Embossed ZigZag Punch (Martha Stewart), Perfect Plum brads (Pink Hedgehog), Close to Cocoa – Creamy Caramel – More Mustard – So Saffron markers, dimensionals
I had so much fun playing with the bath poof today. I can’t wait to give it a try with some Halloween colors. Look for those cards next week. If you want to leave me a comment and tell me how creative I am I promise it won’t go to my head. Until next time, thanks for looking and have a great day!

Wow, beautiful card.

Really cool technique and a beautiful card. Thanks for playing! 🙂
This is intended to go to your head! I absolutely love the technique. I tried it in your colours on a slightly more yellow cardstock and wow – it is beautiful – I will now try some other colours. Thanks so much for sharing your brilliance!!! Valda
