Happy Monday Stampers ~ I have a pretty Beautiful Bouquet For Catalog Case creation on the blog today.
Well Jess did leave early ~ 6:15 am ~ yesterday morning. She made good time and got home unpacked and was taking the girls to the pool to burn some energy by 1:24 pm. She said traffic was great so she did get caught in the traffic at the bridge. She is probably happy that she did not hit any traffic as you can sit for hours hardly moving at the bridge. I went back to bed after she left and did not get up until about 9:30. Once I got up I got busy with cleaning. I managed to get most of the laundry finished and the floors dusted and mopped. Today I will finish the laundry, clean the bathrooms, go grocery shopping and work on some cards for this week. I also have my water aerobics this morning. Hope I can get it all done!
Did you know the annual catalog is a great source of inspiration? I decided to use it to find my card idea for today. I found a card on page 22 that I wanted to try.
I did not have the paper used to cut the images out of, so I went looking in my stamps to see what I had I could use to make it work. The Beautiful Bouquet has the perfect images to make my version of this card. The card has used the new In Color Rococo Rose so I wanted to use it also. Since they had used the Pressed Petals dsp I went looking into what stamp sets I had I could use. The Beautiful Bouquet was the perfect set. I wanted to see what other colors I could use with the Rococo Rose. I needed a green so I chose Old Olive. To get another color to coordinate I chose Merry Merlot. I stamped the larger 6 petal flower on Very Vanilla and Rococo Rose card stock using Rococo Rose ink and Merry Merlot ink. I did the same using the small 6 petal flower also. The coordinating framelits were used to cut out the flowers. The small flowers were layered onto the larger flowers using glue dots. Two pieces of Very Vanilla that measured 2 3/4″ x 4″ were embossed using the Subtle embossing folder. The card base of Rococo Rose was stamped along the bottom using the same color ink and the splatter in the Beauty Abounds stamp set. The embossed panels were added to the card base using Tear & Tape. One of the panels was attached to the top about an inch from the right hand side of the card base. The other panel was attached to the bottom about an inch from the left hand side of the card base. Old Olive card stock was used with the Well Written dies to cut the stems. These were glued down using Multipurpose Liquid Glue. The ribbon is a retired piece of Neutral Chevron ribbon. It was added using glue dots. Then I added the flowers using glue dots and dimensionals. Here is my version of the Beautiful Bouquet For Catalog Case.
