Hello Everyone ~ Are you getting sick of seeing my Beautiful Friendship Color Challenge ideas?
Yesterday we took Jake to the doctor. He is suffering from acid reflux pretty bad so Michaela wanted to see what their options might be. The doctor did subscribe some medicine but when she got home the pharmacy called and they did not have it so they contacted another one. It took them a while but they found one that had it. The cost was outrageous so Michaela contacted the doctor for an alternative. It will be interesting to see if they found one.
We are back after a nice holiday break with the Hand Stamped Sentiments challenge. We have a color challenge this week.
To play with these colors I needed a fun stamp set. I decided to use my Beautiful Friendship set as it has lots of images and I knew I could have lots of options. I began by stamping the hydrangea with Flirty Flamingo in the lower left hand corner of the Whisper White panel. Then added some leaves using first and second generation stamping with Mossy Meadow. To finish off the flower I use some second generation stamping of Pretty Peacock with the sprig. The Pretty Peacock panel was stamped with the Crackle background stamp using the same color ink. This Whisper White panel was then mounted onto the Pretty Peacock panel. I took a flirty Flamingo card base and using a 3 3/4″ x 5″ piece of Whisper White it was added at an angle. The image layer was then added to the card front at an angle opposite the Whisper White panel. Using the Pretty Peacock dark blend I colored 2 strips of Whisper White fax ribbon. The 2 strips were layered and a piece of Whisper White baker’s twine was used to tie them together. The ribbon element was then attached to the card base using glue dots. Here is the completed Beautiful Friendship Color Challenge creation.

The Beautiful Friendship stamp set has some fun images you can use to mix and match for your cards. Here is an idea where the stamp set is paired with some gorgeous designer series paper. This card has the same layout as today’s card but uses different colors so you can see another idea. Here is another idea using some designer series paper and just the hydrangea stamp.
