A Blast from the Past

When I saw the colors for this challenge I did not think of Christmas. The Taken With Teal is not a color I would have used for Christmas, but it works on this card.

I used the color challenge at Color Throwdown which was to use Certainly Celery, Purely Pomegranate, and Taken With Teal. I had the Big on Christmas set on my table from a previous card so I thought I could use the Teal on the Christmas ball. Since I did not have a Purely Pomegranate marker, I use a blender pen and ink in the lid.
I combined the color challenge with the sketch challenge at Card Patterns. I wanted to try a different technique with my ribbon so I attached the ribbon on the back of the layer then using my stapler I folded the ribbon back on itself and stapled it in place. Then folding the ribbon back across the card, I repeated the process at intervals across the entire layer. I like the looks as it is a little different. Here is the sketch and my creation.
