Hello Stampers ~ Stampin’ Up has a lot of butterflies right now and I used them for my Botanical Butterfly in Lemon Lime Twist card today.
Well I managed to get some cards finished yesterday. Not as many as I would have liked as I had to read some of the book we were discussing in book club last night. I also took a nap. For some reason I cannot shake the runny nose and cough with this cold. Just when I think I have turned a corner, everything fills up again. I am hoping I can get rid of most of it before I leave on Thursday. If anyone has any hints pass them my way as I am drinking lots of water to help flush it out of my system. I have some errands to run today and will stop by the house. I am hoping they have started painting the inside so I can see the color. I am getting anxious to see the kitchen finished so I can see the granite with the backsplash. Hopefully it will be soon.
The Botanical Butterfly designer series paper has gorgeous butterflies on it. The best part is the fact that the butterflies can be punched out with the Butterfly Duet punch. I used the punch to punch out one of the purple and lime butterflies. I used the lime color to stamp some of the dots and splatter from the Butterfly Gala stamp set onto a Whisper White panel. This panel was mounted onto a piece of the Lemon Lime Twist gingham gala designer series paper. These panels were then added to a Whisper White card base. I used some of the retired black metallic thread to add some loops to the card and the punched butterfly was added on top. To finish off the card, some rhinestones were added to the body of the butterfly. Here is my completed Botanical Butterfly in Lemon Lime Twist creation.
