Brightly Gleaming Merriest Wishes

Hello Everyone ~ I have an easy Christmas Card for you today with my Brightly Gleaming Merriest Wishes creation.

It was a rainy day all day today.  Perfect day to sleep in and be lazy.  Not me!  I had an early appointment then another one about an hour later.  When I got home I had to prep for a class I am doing for the Newcomer’s Club this afternoon.  It ended up taking me all afternoon so I did not get as much time as I would have liked to play in my studio.  Bijou has a spa appointment this morning and then I have the class this afternoon.  I am hoping to spend some time playing to make some cards in between as well as some time when I get home after the class.  If I can make 3 cards it would be great.  Cross your fingers for me!

Don’t forget I have a Facebook Live this evening at 7:30 pm EST.  We will be playing with some ink blending to create a background using those blending brushes that are very popular right now.  I would love to have you join me.  Search for Creations in Paper and join the group so join us.

I am continuing with that gorgeous Copper enhanced designer series paper ideas.  Did you know this paper is part of my 2019 Product Share.  Check out all the details here and sign up so you don’t miss this beautiful paper.  Today’s card was inspired by the paper.  One of the patterns has ornaments all over.  I did not order the stamp set so I was in a quandary about what to do with this paper.  That’s when #ShopYourCraftStash came to my rescue.  I went looking at my retired sets and found the Merriest Wishes which is ornaments.  I stamped the larger circle image using Pretty Peacock.  I then used the 1 3/4″ circle punch to punch it out.  Then I stamped the smaller circle image and punched it out using the 1″ punch.  The hanger was stamped using Versamark and embossed using Copper embossing powder.  I fussy cut it out and left a long tail at the bottom so I could attach it to the large circle using a glue dot.  The small circle was added to the center of the ornament using a dimensional.  After I got it all cut out and put together I realized I had the dies to match this set and it would have cut out the ornament as one image.  Oh well I made do.  The piece of the designer series paper was mounted onto a Pretty Peacock card base.  The sentiment was stamped onto a Very Vanilla rectangle and then mounted onto a piece of Pretty Peacock card stock before it was mounted onto the card base.  The ornament was added using dimensionals.  Here is the completed Brightly Gleaming Merriest Wishes creation.

  1. Good morning Robbie,
I personally like clean and simple cards, especially when the pattern paper is so busy. I think I might use a little bigger greeting, the smaller one seems to be lost, but that is just me. 🙂
Thank you for sharing and your time.
