Good Morning Everyone ~ this week I am C.A.S.E.ing the Catty ~ For You!
I managed to finish up my Paper Pumpkin scrapbook page and make today’s card. I also made my video for Wednesday. It was a productive day! I am hoping today will be just as productive. I wanted to share
They posted a new challenge at the C.A.S.E.ing the Catty. This week they are focusing on the Love and Sympathy section, pages 85-101, of the 2017-2108 Annual Catalogue. Grabbing my catalog, I started looking at that section. I realized I only had 2 stamp sets from that section. I found a great card on page 93 of the catalog.
I loved the background so I decided to use that as my inspiration. Since I only had 2 stamp sets in that section, I chose to use You’ve Got This. I stamped the image using black ink and used my Watercolor pencils to color it in. I did not use water with it but instead used them more like colored pencils. Next I needed to make my background. I took a piece of watercolor paper and spritzed it heavily with water. I used the Melon Mambo reinker to add ink to the wet paper. I picked it up and tilted it so it could spread. When needed I added more water. After it dried I attached it to a Melon Mambo card base. The sentiment was from Birthday Blooms and was stamped in black. I punched it out with a 1 1/4″ circle punch. It was mounted onto a 1 3/8″ circle punch in Old Olive. The sentiment and image were added to the card base using dimensionals. A bow using the 1/8″ silver ribbon was added to the stem of the flower. To finish off the card, some Glitter Enamel Dots were added. Here is the final creation.
