Cased My Own Card

I made this card (second card in post) for Michaela last week that I loved. While reading my blogs I saw a Thumping Challenge on Gina K’s blog and realized that is what I had done on Michaela’s card. I decided to check out the challenge and use the same idea as I had used on my card as I liked the colors.

If you have not been to Stamp TV you need to check it out. Gina has done a great job of posting videos explaining how to cut stamps, techniques, and recently added challenges. The site is new (just this week) so there are only a few videos but she has plans to add more. The quality is excellent and I learned a few things about cutting stamps correctly. Check it out.

Okay on to my card. I used a different stamp as I wanted to try the technique on a bigger stamp. While I am okay with my casing, I think the first card was better. I may try this technique again using 3 colors in the same family. I do like the inside stamped image better as I used the Elegant Eggplant marker to edge the stamp. Here is my creation.

inside of card

So which is your favorite? Let me know. Hope you have a great afternoon and thanks for looking!
