Hello Stampers ~ would you like another Christmas Handmade Card?
It was a quiet day after my workshop yesterday. The girls went up to their grandmother’s for dinner. I had the house myself so I worked on my video for tomorrow and my 12 Weeks of Christmas project as well as today’s card. Then last night I watched the Hallmark channel and wrote my posts. It was quiet for a while and I enjoyed it.
Today’s card was an idea I had save and decided to try it for a Christmas card. The card I saw had a curved cut separating the 2 pieces of dsp. I decided to see if I could create a similar card cut. The first thing I had to do was find an edge. I thought about the Swirly Scribbles thinlits and the edge was great. Using the Merry Music dsp, I cut a panel for the front of my card. I pulled out my framelit and laid it on the back of my dsp. Using the pencil I traced the edge of the framelit. The paper snips were used to cut on the line. A Cherry Cobbler panel was cut for the front of the card base. Using Snail the top of the dsp panel was added to the Cherry Cobbler panel. The lower dsp panel was added using Snail and leaving an opening. I used some liquid glue to add some Dazzling Diamonds to the curved opening. A strip of ribbon was added to the top of the Cherry Cobbler panel using Tear & Tape. This panel was added to a Whisper White card base. The Bethlehem edglits were cut out of Champagne foil sheet and added with liquid glue. I cut a star out of Dazzling Diamonds glimmer paper and added it with liquid glue also. The sentiment was stamped with Versamark and then embossed using Silver. The 1 3/4″ circle punch was used to punch out the sentiment. A 2″ circle punch was used with Cherry Cobbler. The 2 circles were layered using Snail. I added the layered sentiment was added to the card base with dimensionals. Here is my Christmas Handmade Card.
