Clean and Simple Beautiful Friendship

Hello Everyone ~ want to see a Clean and Simple Beautiful Friendship creation?

Oh My Gosh!  I cannot believe I did not post yesterday.  I had a card but with all my cleaning I must have missed writing my post.  Not sure why but I am thinking between all the laundry and cleaning on Sunday I must have totally missed writing my post.  I did manage to get the bathrooms cleaned yesterday and more laundry done.  All my cleaning is done but I still have more laundry to do.  I am going to see if I can get that finished today.  Then I can relax a little and make some cards for my blog.  I am meeting a lady later this afternoon to see about the possibility of rooming with her on a Canadian Trip.  A similar trip is on my bucket list.  I have always wanted to do the train trip up through Canada and Banff National Park and then on up to Alaska.  This trip is a bus trip and I will get to see Banff and several other National Parks.  I will not get to Alaska but that is okay as I will see most of all the National Parks that I had wanted to see.  The trip is next August so that gives me plenty of time to save my money.  I am hoping it works out.

We have a color challenge this week at Hand Stamped Sentiments Paper Crafting Challenges.

I was not thrilled with these colors.  I don’t use Petal Pink nor Calypso Coral much as the colors to me are not true to the pads.  The Petal Pink is very pretty on the ink lid but when you stamp it it comes out orange looking.  The Calypso Coral is very harsh to be a Subtle.  These are just my opinions.  Knowing I had to use these colors presented a challenge for me.  I thought I would use the bubbles from Beauty Abounds and the butterflies.  But I needed a sentiment so I went to a new stamp set for one.  I began by stamping the bubbles using Mint Macaron and Petal Pink across a Whisper White panel at a diagonal.  I then stamped the sentiment in the lower left hand corner of the panel.  I stamped the 2 butterflies using Calypso Coral on scrap paper and fussy cut them out.  I realized after I had them cut out that there were dies to match them.  To add some other interest I used vellum and the leaf die from Bouquet Bunch dies and cut out 2 of them.  I added them at the top right of the panel with the butterflies on top to hold them in place.  This panel was added to a Mint Macaron panel which was then adhered to a Whisper White card base.  Here is my completed Clean and Simple Beautiful Friendship creation.

A simple card that was quick to make. Check out the details for my Clean and Simple Beautiful Friendship creation.

Make sure you head over to the Hand Stamped Sentiments Paper Crafting Challenges blog to see how the other ladies used our colors.  There were some great ideas from them.

Thanks for visiting me today and I hope I inspired you.  I have to get my cards for my workshop next week made and I have no idea what to do.  If you were coming to my workshop what would you want to make?  Have a Terrific Tuesday and what did you think of the colors I used in my Clean and Simple Beautiful Friendship creation?
