I like Collage Stamping for the edges of cards

Hello Stampers ~ I played with some collage stamping along the edges of my card today.

I hope you all had a relaxing day yesterday.  I had Remi most of the day and then I had both girls overnight.  I did not work on anything yesterday but Zoie will be in camp and Remi will be at the other grandmother’s so I plan on doing some video taping for my One Color Wonder later this week.  I also want to play with my embossing paste.  There are a lot of great cards out on the internet using this and I want to see what I can do with it.

I saw a sketch at Tuesday Morning Sketches I wanted to try.

I began by doing some collage stamping around the edges of my card layer using the 2 edge stamps from Timeless Textures.  Next I stamped the flourish from the same set using third generation stamping randomly all over my card.  Using the 1/8″ Silver ribbon a bow was added to the top.  This layer was added to my card base.  I pulled out my Stitched Shapes thinlits and cut a frame using the 2 larger dies.  This was attached to the card with glue dots in the 4 corners.  Using the Dragonfly thinlits, I cut the lacy one out of black and the solid one out of some of the Mint Macaron glimmer paper from Sale-a-bration.  Small dots of Tombow multipurpose glue was added to the back of the lacy dragonfly and set aside to dry.  While the dragonfly was drying, my sentiment was stamped and punched out with a 1″ circle punch.  The layer for underneath was punched using a 1 1/4″ circle punch.  The 2 circles were layered.  The 2 dragonflies were layered and then it was added to the card base using mini dimensionals.  The wings on the right hand side were slipped under frame so the dragonfly both inside and outside the frame.  The sentiment was added with a dimensional.  Here is my finished creation.
