Colorful Seasons Cherry Blossoms by Stampin’ Up

Good Morning Everyone ~ I have some Colorful Seasons Cherry Blossoms by Stampin’ Up for you today.

We had a nice small party for Remi’s birthday last night.  Jess had pizza and salad.  Remi was so excited she insisted on opening her present before we had dinner.  She got some coloring books, some Hatchables, a balance bike, and a membership to Calvert Marine Museum.  Cupcakes were her choice for desert.  When time came, she wanted peanut butter cups instead so she got 3 with a candle in each one.  She was able to blow out her candles in one breath.  After dinner she was complaining of her ears hurting.  Hopefully she is not getting sick as she did have a fever.

It won’t be long before we will be watching for the Cherry Blossoms to bloom in Washington, DC.  I thought it would be fun to create some paper cherry blossoms to chase away the Winter blues.  I used the Colorful Season bundle to cut out my branches and the flowers.  I used Early Espresso for the branches and the leaves were stamped with Powder Pink and a Berry Burst marker was used to add accents in the center or around the edges.  The framelits were used to cut out everything.  The branches were added to the Soft Sky card base using Tombow multipurpose liquid glue.  I then used glue dots and dimensionals to add the flowers.  The sentiment was was from Heartfelt Blooms and stamped with Berry Burst.  I cut around the shape of the sentiment and added it to the card base with dimensionals.  To finish off the card I added a rhinestone in the center of each flower.  Here is my Colorful Seasons Cherry Blossoms by Stampin’ Up card.

  1. The card doesn’t show up for me. I see the inside and envelope. They are very pretty. There is a single flower in the Petal Palette that would work for the cherry blossom too. I’ll have to think of a way to do this too. Thanks.

Glad Remi had a good party – hope she kept her snuffles to herself!
