Hello Stampers!
Well I only got a little bit done on my list from yesterday. I had 2 appointments and they took longer than planned. Then I had a workshop last night. I have an appointment in the morning and 2 ladies coming for a class. Then I will have the afternoon to get a lot done. I have an order for 70 chapstick holders so I need to get those completed. Busy, Busy, Busy!
Today is also my sister’s birthday! I am the oldest and she is next in line. My birthday is Friday so we are 2 days short of being a year apart. She reads my blog all the time. Happy Birthday Kay!
Today is the Coloring Down the Lines blog hop. The colors we had to use were these.
Stampin’ Up color matches
The colors I wanted to use from these were Cherry Cobbler, Crumb Cake, and Early Espresso. I thought they would be pretty for a Christmas card. I had in my mind to make a tag for the front so I used some Crumb Cake and the Scallop Tag Topper punch. After I punched it I wanted some texture so I used the Dots for Days background stamp and added it. I was haphazard in inking it up as I wanted light and dark areas. I decided to use Whisper White as the layer on the Early Espresso. It also needed some texture so I pulled out the Woodgrain embossing folder. When I added the tag it needed something so I used some Cherry Cobbler thick twine. I unraveled it as I like that look better and tied a bow. I added it to my tag with glue dot. My tag was added to the card front with dimensionals. I then stamped my flower from the October Paper Pumpkin and cut it out. To get the yellow center, I used my gold glitter pen on the pistols (or are they stamen?????). My flowers were added to the tag with either tape runner or glue dots. Here is my final creation.
