Coloring Down the Lines – Pretty in Pink

Happy Wednesday!

Well it is supposed to rain most of today.  We need the rain so I am not complaining.  Just means more time to devote to crafting.

Wednesday is our day for our color coach blog hop.  This week we were to use

Pretty in Pink, Certainly Celery, Bashful Blue

OR

Pretty in Pink, Marina Mist, Daffodil Delight

I decided to use the second set of colors.  I combined it with the sketch challenge at Red Hot Stampers Sketch Challenge .

I knew I wanted to use the Summer Solstice flower so this sketch was perfect for it.  I did some embossing also.  I used the Fancy Fan embossing folder on the colored strip and the Simply Scored tool to add some diagonal stripes on the black cardstock.  The centers of the flower were made by using sticky strip and cutting out a circle.  I then poured on black glitter.  Here is my creation.

So are you ready to see what the other ladies created?  Head on over to Amanda’s blog – Our Crafty Playdate to see what she did with these colors.  Thanks for looking and have a Wonderful Wednesday!
