Coloring Down the Lines – sunflower

Hello Everyone!

Well we have reached midweek.  Jess is picking Lily up today.  The surgery went well but now we have 8 weeks of recovery with her taking it easy and not jumping, running, or playing rough.  That will be the hard part as she love to do those things.  I know she was glad when she found out the surgery went well.

Today is our Coloring Down the Lines blog hop.  Our colors today were chosen by Joni.

I had not played with the weekend sketch challenge at Stampin’ Gals Gone Wild.

I thought this sketch would be perfect to create my own daisy/sunflower.  I pulled out the 2 3/8″ scallop circle and punch 4 circles – 2 So Saffron and 2 Crushed Curry.  I took my snips and cut slits between the scallops.  Then I layered them alternating colors and punched a center hole.  To hold the the flower together, I added an antique brad.  I used some Subtles patterned paper stack at the bottom and added an embossed strip.  Here is what my final card looked like.
