Daisy Lane Friend

Hello Everyone ~ wait until you see my adorable Daisy Lane Friend card today!

The ball game last night was HOT!  We survived with lots of water but the hot dogs were great.  They are currently first in the Southern Carolina League with 16 wins and 9 losses.  Hopefully they will win tonight!  I am anxious to play with some ideas I have seen or from the craft show this past weekend.  I have a fancy fold card for the Facebook Live on Thursday night that we did at the craft show.  I need to take some time today and get it made as well as some more cards for my blog.  I have some time this morning but this afternoon and evening will be busy with an appointment and our book club meeting.  I got all the bookmarks made for the meeting.  Hopefully there won’t be too many more reply at the last minute!  I will share what I made later this week.

We have our challenge at Hand Stamped Sentiments today.  This time we have an inspiration challenge.

The wreath in the upper left hand corner caught my eye immediately.  I knew I had to use it to see what I could come up with.  The Hardwood background stamp would have been perfect but it retired.  That meant I had to come up with something else.  I decided to use the Buffalo Check background stamp ~ you could also use the Birch, Crackle Paint, or All Wired Up  backgrounds also.  I wanted a light ink so I chose to use Sahara Sand and do a second generation stamping.  After I had my panel created I mounted it onto a Seaside Spray card base ~ I am loving the Seaside Spray color!  The Layering Circles dies and Soft Suede card stock were used to cut out the circle frame.  I used the largest and second from the largest.  I added this circle to my card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  I then used various dies to cut out my spray.  I began with Early Espresso and Seasonal Layers dies to cut out the twig.  Next I used Mossy Meadow and Frosted Bouquet and Bouquet Bunch to cut out some leaf sprays.  I also used the same dies and Soft Sea Foam to cut out the other sprays.  I added all of these to the left hand side of the circle using glue dots.  The Daisy Lane bundle was used to create my flowers along with Seaside Spray ink on Whisper White card stock.  The completed flowers were added to the left hand side of the circle over top the ends of the leaf sprays using dimensionals.  A rhinestone was added to the center of each flower.  To finish the card, I used the Well Written dies and Seaside Spray card stock to cut out my sentiment.  Here is the completed Daisy Lane Friend creation.

This beautiful Daisy Lane Friend card uses a variety of dies to create the spray. Click the photo to see which dies and colors were used.
