Dandelion featuring Stampin’ Up Balloon Celebration

Good Morning Everyone ~ today I have a Dandelion featuring Stampin’ Up Balloon Celebration stamp set.

Well the weekend is finally here!  I am looking forward to being able to sleep in a little.  The key will be if the girls let me sleep or if they come get me up when they wake up.  They think they need to ask me for their breakfast rather than get their mother up.  I hope they at least wait a little while before they come get me!

My card today was inspired by one I saw on Pinterest.  I have always liked the idea but did not have the set.  When I went to visit my friend in North Carolina she had the set so I played with it a little.  The card uses the stamp that is supposed to be the string for the balloon to make the dandelion tufts.  To make my dandelion I stamped them in a bunch in a circle shape.  Then I stamped the image randomly all over the card layer.  I wanted it to look like they were blowing in the wind.  I used the stem stamp to add my stem that I colored in.  Since this is a whimsical card, I opted for some linen thread and made a multi loop bow.  This layer was added to a So Saffron card base.  Here is my simple creation.

Thanks for visiting me today and I hope I inspired you.  So what do you think of my new little chalk board to hold my cards?  I am thinking I need to be closer.  Let me know your thoughts!  Have a Super Saturday and find your own Dandelion featuring Stampin’ Up Balloon Celebration!

  1. Well that’s just too stinkin’ cute! Never would have thought that one up! Thanks!

  2. Sooo whimsical and great idea!

Have you asked the girls to wake Mommy up first? Bet that might change things but that is so sweet to ask you for their breakfast, but not letting grandma sleep in! Hard choice!

  3. Really sweet card! Can’t wait to try the technique…..Thanks for sharing it.
P.S. I do think you need to be a little bit closer.
