Darling Details and Two-Tone Flora
Hello Everyone – a classic color combination was used to create the Darling Details and Two-Tone Flora card.
Blue and yellow are perfect colors to use when you are creating. They go together so well and can be used for just about any image. I chose to use Azure Afternoon and Lemon Lolly for a bright summer color combination.
When I went to plan my card I found a fun sketch at the Sketch Saturday blog. I loved this layout and knew it would be great to make the frame using the Darling Details dies.
The Darling Details dies has 2 different frame sizes along with a strip die that you can weave your ribbon through. This will be fun die collection to add to your stash.
The dies created the simple layout that was a great frame for a couple of simple flowers. To add some sparkle to the card I used the Sheer Ribbon Combo pack. It has a spool of Lemon Lolly that has an edge of glitter.
The Two-Tone Flora stamp set has a simple two step flower that was just what was needed to add in the lower left hand corner of the frame. That flower was also used to decorate the inside of the card and envelope.
The Darling Details dies create great focal images like the one on this ladybug card. The die collection also includes some open line flower dies that were used on the third card in this post.
Is blue and yellow a color combination you go to when you are unsure of what colors to use? They easily go together making it easy to create.
