A Different Card

Well I am beginning to work on my Christmas cards now as I will need lots to send out in the next few week.  I am really getting in the spirit now that I am spending time making holdiay cards.  How about you?

I have several blogs I read that offer sketch challenges each week.  Yesterday I spent the day doing several of them so you would have some creations to look at.  The first sketch I tried was from Beate at Fresh and Fun.  This was a fun sketch and I really like my card.  I chose the sentiment first and then found an image to go with it.  It very quickly fell into place after that.   To ink the saying I used markers so I could highlight certain words.  Here is the sketch and my creation.

I also decorated the inside of the card as it is so much fun.  I bet the person who gets this one will be so surprised to see the cute inside.  Here is what the inside looks like.
Stamps: Merry, Festive Friends (both retired), Ho,Ho, Ho (katie & co.) Paper: Basic Black, Riding Hood Red, white, Cinnamon Whimsy Stripes PP (Lasting Impressions) Ink: Palette Noir Black , Pretty in Pink, Riding Hood Red, Summer Sun Accessories: Candy Cane eyelet, Ballet Blue – Basic Black – Real Red markers, aqua painter, Photo Corner punch, dauber, dimensionals
So what do you think?  Will you give Beate’s sketch a try?  Thanks for looking and have a great day!
