Hello Everyone ~ I have a simple Christmas card today with my DIY Hearts Come Home Card.
Well I had a meeting with the blinds guy at the house. I have a lot of windows so it was a little more than I had hoped. I have to make some decisions so I can pay him and he can order the blinds. The guy was there today sanding the spackle so they will be ready to paint soon. I am hoping the siding will be finished soon as I would think they would have to have the siding on before they can paint. Not sure as I am not a builder. The garage was not a good outcome. I know there is nothing that can be done about it now and it was explained to me that it had to be changed to make sure they met code on the space between the garage door and the service door. That meant my garage door is 1 foot shorter. I think it was a mistake that the foundation guys made and no one caught it. I did say we may have to adjust the driveway so I will be able to back into the garage as I always back into the garage. I will make sure I am there and can talk to them before any concrete is poured to make sure my wishes are carried out! So much to keep track of when you build a house.
Well we finished up with the 12 Days of Valentine’s. Hopefully you have some cute ideas you want to try. I am going back to the Catalog Journey and my next stamp set is the Hearts Come Home. I used it to make a quick and easy Christmas card. I stamped the houses onto a piece of Whisper White and used the circle Stitched Shapes framelits to cut it out. The sentiment was stamped using Lovely Lipstick. I then used the smallest square Stitched Shape framelit to cut out the top of the sentiment. I then realligned the framelit to cut the bottom off to get the rectangle shape I needed. A piece of the 2018 – 2020 In Color designer series paper was cut at 3 3/4″ x 5″ and some retired gold ribbon was added at the top. I lined up the lower right hand corner of the designer series paper with the lower right hand corner of the card base and attached the designer series paper. A bow was tied and added with a glue dot. The image layer and sentiment layer were both added using dimensionals. Here is the completed DIY Hearts Come Home Card.
