Good Morning Stampers ~ dry embossing with the new Layered Leaves folder creates a beautiful textured background.
Yesterday I got a lot completed. I managed to knit for several hours, make today’s card, and also completed 3 of the 4 cards I need for my workshop next month. I also organized my ribbon. I went through all of what I had and all the ribbon that was not Stampin’ Up I have put in a bag and plan on donating it to the Center for Life Enrichment. I have all my stamp sets listed and I am working on pricing them. I will post them on here on another page in the next few days. I am working on getting my things organized and cleaned out!
I played with the Layered Leaves textured embossing folder for the first time yesterday. I have had the folder for a while but have not had the time to play with it. This folder creates a beautiful deep dry embossing with many layers. I was inspired for my card layout with the sketch challenge at Try Stampin’ on Tuesday or Not
I wanted to play with the Lemon Lime Twist so I had to come up with some colors that would coordinate with it. I came up with Rich Razleberry and Night of Navy. Using the Rich Razzleberry and the Flower Shop stamp set I stamped some of the flowers. Then I used the Rose Garden thinlits and Night of Navy card stock to cut out some leaves. My Whisper White card layer was embossed with the Layered Leaves folder and attached to a Lemon Lime Twist card base. Dots of glue were added to the back of the leaves and then they were added to the card base. The flowers were added with dimensionals and glue dots. To address the banners at the bottom I used a piece of the Fresh Florals dsp, a piece of Night of Navy card stock, and a piece of Whisper White card stock and the Triple Banner punch to flag one end. The sentiment was stamped onto the Whisper White banner using Rich Razzleberry ink. These were then layered on the bottom of the card. Here is my completed creation.
