Embossed Card Idea

Hello Stampers ~ I am sharing an Embossed Card Idea today.

Well I am officially a home owner again.  I met with the builder yesterday and was concerned that there were some charges I did not understand.  We talked about them and came to an agreement for the amount I owed him.  I wrote him a check and he handed over the closing notebook with all my keys, instruction booklets, and other important information on the house.  They do something here that I don’t remember the last time I built a house.  You have to have an occupancy permit and they give you the permit in order to move into your house.  I can move in on Monday as they are finishing up the punch list from the walk through and then the cleaning ladies need to come back and clean again.  I came home and called the movers.  Unfortunately they cannot deliver my furniture until April 9th so I will be staying on a blow up mattress  until then.  I do have a TV and I have a couple of chairs at Barb’s house so I can at least sit down.  That also means my craft supplies will not be delivered until the 9th.  I do have cards made and a few things I kept with me so I will be able to post cards for you.  I may try to do a video once I get in and see how it works out.  So stayed tuned to see what I am able to do.

Today is supposed to be my Fast & Fabulous video series.  Well this was another video that did not record for some reason.  So here is how I created this card.  I began with a Whisper White card base.  I then added a layer of the Lemon Lime Twist Gingham Gala designer series paper.  The next layer was a piece of Lemon Lime Twist card stock that I embossed using the Polka Dot Basics embossing folder.  I took a piece of the Sale-a-bration organdy ribbon in Lemon Lime Twist and wrapped it around the lower part of the embossed card stock.  I then attached this panel to the card front.  The same ribbon was used to make a bow and was then attached using a glue dot.  I then took a piece of Whisper White card stock and using the Celebrate You thinlits.  I added this to the card base using dimensionals.  Using the Sunshine Sayings I created the rest of my sentiment.  I flagged each end of the strip and then attached it to the card base using dimensionals.   To finish the card I add some sequins.  Here is the completed Embossed Card Idea creation.

Thanks for visiting me today and I hope I inspired you.  I will be organizing my things so that Monday I can easily take them over to the house and then  come back for another load.  It won’t take me long but I want to make sure I am done before Barbara gets home.  Have a Fabulous Friday and make sure you give my Embossed Card Idea a try with your favorite color!
