Fall Card

Happy Monday Ladies ~ Here is my Fall Card I made using some color block blending.

Yesterday I helped Jess move some furniture that was given to her.  We made 3 loads but we got everything and put it in her storage unit.  She is planning on beginning to look for a place of her own in December or January.  She has been checking out listings and has found a few things that she likes so she knows there is something out there for her.  It will be interesting to see what she can find when she gets serious.

Our challenge at Make My Monday challenge blog is

                                                              Autumn Colors

I decided to create my own leaves using the color block blending.  I started with a strip of Whisper White.  I had Crush Curry, Cherry Cobbler, Tangerine Tango, and Island Indigo ink pads.  Using my sponges I applied color to the strip in blocks making sure to blend the colors when I added a new one.  I covered the whole strip in this manner alternating the colors so they were mixed.  Here is what my strip looked like when I was finished.

Using the above strip I then stamped the outline image from Colorful Seasons stamp set using Versamark ink making sure to vary my leaf placement so my leaves would have some variety.  I then used some Copper embossing powder to heat it.  The matching framelit was used to cut out my leaves.  I took a piece of Very Vanilla card stock and mounted it onto my Island Indigo card base.  Thin strips of the retired Copper colored glimmer paper were cut and added to the card front in a crossing pattern.  My leaves were then added using glue dots and dimensionals.  Here is my completed creation.
