Well the weekend is almost here! Does everyone have some great plans for the weekend? I will be stamping up a storm as I need to make Thanksgiving cards to send to my son-in-law’s unit as well as Operation Write Home (formerly Cards for Heros). You will be glad to know that I sent my son-in-law 61 cards (most of them were Halloween cards) and 56 cards to Operation Write Home (again most of them were Halloween cards). There is a short turn around before the Thanksgiving cards need to be postmarked so I will be looking for some quick and simple cards (anyone have any good ideas?). I want to send a bunch again to both parties.
Fall Crayon Resist
After I boxed up the cards yesterday so I could mail them out today I was able to create today’s card. I used 2 challenges again for this card. I used the sketch from the Sketch Saturday blog. I combined it with the fall/autumn challenge on the Our Creative Corner blog. I decided to use a technique that I had not used in about 2 years. I used the Crayon Resist technique. I love this technique for fall cards. I will have to remember to try it with snowflakes in the winter as I think it could be very pretty also. Here is the sketch and my creation.
