Hello Stampers ~ Well Fall is Here finally!
I managed to get my video made yesterday. I have not downloaded it and tried to edit it to see if it works. Wish me luck as that is my plan for today along with making some cards for posting later this month.
Last night we had our first frost warning of the season. It got down to between 30 and 40 degrees. I don’t mind the cool nights when our days are nice like they are going to be. Time to get some apples for crisp and pies too. While I am doing some baking I may work on some pumpkin bread! Anybody got a good recipe for the bread?
Our Hand Stamped Sentiments challenge blog has a new challenge today. This one is an inspiration challenge.
When I looked at the picture, the first thing I saw was the Black Eyed Susan’s and the leaves. I knew I wanted to use those for my card today. I began by creating my Black Eyed Susan’s. The Daisy Delight bundle is perfect for that. I stamped the daisy stamp with Crushed Curry onto Crushed Curry card stock. I did that 6 times – 3 for each daisy. The daisy punch was used to punch out all the daisies. Glue dots were used to attach the 3 daisies together staggering the layers. To make my centers I used a 1/2″, 3/4″, and 1″ circle punches and punched them out of Early Espresso card stock. Using my paper snips I cut little slits in it all the way around each circle. The 3 circles were then layered from smallest to largest using glue dots. The center circles were attached to the layered daisies using a glue dot. A large rhinestone was added to the center and then using my fingernails I pulled up on each layer of the circles to create some texture and dimension.
Now that my daisies are done time to work on my leaves. I took piece of Very Vanilla and sponged on Cherry Cobbler, Pumpkin Pie, and Old Olive ink. I made sure to overlap and blend the inks. Then using my Versamark ink I strategically stamped the leaves and used Gold embossing powder to emboss them. The thinlit was used to cut out the embossed leaves. To form my card, I took a 3/8″ strip of Gold Glimmer paper and added it to the left hand side next to the fold. A piece of Wood Textures dsp was added right next to the gold strip. I then added my daisies using dimensionals. My leaves were tucked under the daisies and attached using glue dots. My card is complete. Here is my completed creation.
