Hello Stampers ~ I have a Fall Sheltering Tree for you today.
I had plans to sleep in yesterday morning and the phone rang at 7:30. It was Bijou’s spa. They had a cancellation and wanted to know if I wanted to come in early. Since I had scheduled a card class the day of her appointment it worked out fine. I got up and took her over. Once I got back I fixed breakfast and then cleaned the bathroom. I also went to dinner last night at the pavilion in my development. Since I did not get to sleep in yesterday I will use today to sleep in. Hopefully I won’t get a phone call to wake me up again.
I pulled out a stamp set I had not used in a while. The Sheltering Tree is a great set for creating cards for different seasons. I also had some of the copper trim so I decided to make a Fall tree. I began with a Whisper White card base and I embossed the card front using the Woodland embossing folder. I stamped the tree frame onto the Whisper White panel. Then using the Crushed Curry ink I stamped the large solid leaf image. To give it a fall tree look, I used the small leaf stamp and Cherry Cobbler and Pumpkin Pie to fill in the tree top. To finish off the stamped panel, I used the ground stamp and added the ground under the tree. I took this panel and added it to a panel of Cherry Cobbler and then another panel of Pumpkin Pie. These panels were added to card front using Tear & Tape. The final element of the card was a copper trim bow. Here is the completed Fall Sheltering Tree idea.
