Faux Cloisionne Roses

I played with a new technique the other day.  The Creative Sketches blog had a Faux Cloisionne technique challenge.  You use a glossy page from a magazine and emboss with gold.  I found a great page in my magazine that was red and thought I could use the rose from Fifth Avenue Floral to make a rose.

I began by embossing the rose 4 times on the page and cutting out different layers to give it some depth.  Now I need to decide on my colors.  I saw a color challenge at Create, Ink! that was perfect.

Now I needed a design.  I saw the sketch challenge on The Stamp-a-Holics  blog and knew it would be perfect.

I then needed to add my layers.  It needed something so I pulled out my Baroque Motifs added the swirl and some flowers to tie all the colors together.  Here is my creation.

So what did you think of my card today?  Isn’t the faux cloisionne technique fun!  Thanks for looking and have Sensational Sunday!
