Hello Everyone ~ Are your tulips blooming like this Framed Timeless Tulips creation?
I don’t know about you but I was behind all day yesterday. I kept thinking I had lots of time left in the afternoon but when I looked at the clock I was way off. Hopefully today will be better and I won’t be running behind. I did get my 3 videos made yesterday! I also did some laundry and read my book. I have the last set of pages to read this morning so I am ready for the Book Club meeting tonight. I also have to get set up for my workshop tomorrow and I am going to the knitting group today. I will be very busy.
Our weather is supposed to be near 70 by mid week. The flowers are popping up. One of the first flowers to come up in the Spring is the tulip. We have a great bundle in the Occasions Catalog that has a tulip set with a punch. I thought it would be great to play with the tulips and the Stitched Shapes dies to create a frame idea. I began by stamping the tulips onto a piece of whisper White card stock. To color my tulips I first stamped the tulip head using Blushing Bride. Then using Rich Razzleberry ink and a sponge dauber I inked up the edge of the tulip this was then stamped at the top of the stamped stem. I repeated this with the other flower heads to create my tulip bundle. Then using the squares from the Stitched Shapes dies I layered the dies onto the tulips to create a frame and then cut the squares out. this gave me the frame I needed. I added the larger piece of Whisper White to the layer of Rich Razzleberry. It left a hole in the center where I had cut out the frame. I took the frame and laid it inside the hole. Then adding glue to the back of the center piece, I set it inside the frame so it would be lined up correctly. The frame was carefully pulled out and dimensionals were added to the back and then the frame was set back onto the card front lining up with the opening. This completed tulip panel was added to a Whisper White card base. Here is my completed Framed Timeless Tulips creation.

Have you seen the other ways I used the Timeless Tulips stamp set? Here is an idea where I created a panel with some masking. For this card I masked a panel and sponged on some color then stamped the tulips over top.
