Framed Tropical Chic

Hello Everyone ~ Happy Valentine’s Day ~ I have a cute Framed Tropical Chic creation to share with you today.

Today I am headed to Maryland. Remi’s birthday is Saturday and Jess is planning a party.  It was 4 years ago on the 16th when she was born.  There was a big snowstorm that day also.  There is a possibility of snow again on Saturday and Sunday.  I am hoping the storm goes out to sea as I am planning on driving back on Sunday.  I am hoping it will be raining if there is any precipitation until I get out of Virginia and into North Carolina.  I will be watching the weather very closely.  Remi is into Minnie Mouse so I made her a Minnie Mouse card.  I can’t wait to see her face when she opens it.

I wanted to play with a framed images ideas for my card today.  I began with the Tropical Chic bundle and stamped and cut out several of the images.  I then used the 2 largest stitched squares framelits and cut out a frame using Basic Black.  I then started layering the images on, under, and around the frame on a Whisper White card panel.  When I was happy with the arrangement I attached the images using glue dots and dimensionals.  I attached this panel to a Melon Mambo card base.  To finish off the card I created a multi loop bow using the linen thread.  This was added to the frame using a glue dot.  Here is the completed Framed Tropical Chic creation.

Thanks for visiting me today and I hope I inspired you.  Do you have any fun plans for Valentine’s Day?  I will be having dinner with my sister and the girls this evening.  I will be leaving as early as I can so I can get to Jess’ by 5.  I am hoping the traffic is light.  Have a Great Valentine’s Day and what stamp set would you use if you were to recreate the Framed Tropical Chic idea?
